Kitchen Fire and Soot Webs
This home had a fire that, as you can see, did damage to the kitchen. When you have a fire in your home like this, you can have damage from direct contact with fire, but you can also have soot, debris, and smoke damage.
One other thing that often happens, however, is that you will find soot webs hanging in corners of your home. These look like soot covered spider webs, but that isn't what they are. They also aren't a sign that you are a bad housekeeper. Soot webs are formed when petroleum-based products are burned. This creates deposits in your home that look very much like spider webs.
