Step 5: Cleaning and Sanitizing

Now that all water and moisture is removed from the property our teams now turn to "putting things back together." The next step in the process is cleaning and sanitization. The SERVPRO pursuit is to always leave the properties we work on with the impression that nothing's happened. And in fact, this is the SERVPRO motto: "Like it never even happened."

And part of that, not noticing some water damage event happened, is a clean and livable space.

The water damage restoration process can be a messy pursuit, especially when we're reminded that remediation and restoration work is reconstruction work. And that's reconstruction work in every way, building, cutting, removing, installing and finishing. The dust and the impact of restoration pros navigating water damage can leave a property in disarray. This fifth step addresses this, not leaving the project half-done, but working to ensure that the property is fit for working and living.
